Omaha SPIN Officer Roles
- PRESIDENT - direct meetings, develop meeting agenda, arrange meeting
location, recruit new sponsors, appoint sub-committee chairs and work
with other officers on initiatives within their areas; serves as Vice
President when absent.
- VICE PRESIDENT - direct activities to recruit new members, chairs the
speakers bureau to obtain guest speakers, direct activity
sub-committees, assist President with conducting business, serves as
President or Secretary in their absence.
- SECRETARY - record meeting minutes and submit them to the newsletter
editor by the next to last week of the month; send the newsletter
received from the newsletter editor by the first week of each month;
send reminders of the meeting at the end of the second week of each
month maintain the
membership directory; serve as Treasurer when absent.
- TREASURER - collects meeting dues and handles the meal selections and
payment of the restaurant, buys stamps, reports on SPIN funds, pays miscellaneous
bills, reimburses speaker expenses and maintains the
checking account. Handles renewals and billings of corporate
sponsors.
- NEWSLETTER EDITOR - prepares newsletter to be published monthly on the
first of each month; gathers input and contributions from the chapter,
the SEI and other industry sources. Works with Web Master to ensure
the web site is maintained and current with industry links and
additional sources of information.
- WEB MASTER - receives newsletter from Newsletter Editor and other
materials from the chapter and publishes them to our web site on a
timely basis; maintains our web site and url address and defines all
configuration management and approval proceeses for the site.
